Howdy western friends. I've been wanting to "break in" to the club with my music. I've been enamored of Dave Stamey's work for a year now, and I've learned about 8 of his songs, with more in the works. But I realize that at some point I've got to write some original music if I want to get noticed. Well, two days ago, I wrote a ballad, in A minor, called "The Long Knives". It tells the story of the Sand Creek Massacre, and Arapaho chief Black Kettle, and promises made and broken. I have a question. How do I go about copyrighting my songs? I've not done it before. Any help would be appreciated. Dennis | |
